The Algarve in July is the height of summer, with very hot temperatures of between 25°C and 29°C, rising to 35°C on certain days. You’ll enjoy around 12 hours of sunshine a day without any rain. The sea is 22°C, ideal for swimming. It’s high season par excellence, with a lively atmosphere, lots of people and high prices.

Climate in the Algarve in July – weather forecast
The climate is typically Mediterranean, with hot, dry days.
On the coast
Along the coast, from Lagos to Tavira, the climate is hot but softened by the sea breeze. The days are constantly sunny with no precipitation.
Inland
The hinterland experiences higher temperatures, which can exceed 35°C. We recommend avoiding activities in direct sunlight between 11am and 4pm.
