Why visit Parque Aventura Lagos?
Is the Adventure Park worth it? Our opinion:
Yes! This open-air amusement park will appeal to intrepid children and adrenaline-seeking adults alike. With courses suitable for beginners to advanced riders, we particularly appreciated the balance between fun and challenge. There are also several picnic areas where you can enjoy a pleasant break in the shade of the tall pines. In our opinion, this is one of the best family activities in Lagos! A paintball field is also available, accessible from age 10, but we don’t recommend it because of the risks involved.

Our favorite moments
We loved watching the kids play in the trees! We could hear their laughter and voices echoing through the pine forest. The expressions of joy and pride on their faces as they met the challenges were truly worth the detour! We also appreciated the peacefulness of the site and its soothing atmosphere.

OUR ADVICE FOR RENTING A CAR IN THE Algarve

- Don’t take a car that’s too wide, as old towns have narrow streets and small parking spaces.
- For more choice, book early.

How to get there?
Parque Aventura Lagos is not easily accessible by public transport. We strongly recommend you use a car to get there, as the site is set back from the town center and in the hills above Meia Praia. Drive carefully at the end of the trip, which is on a very narrow, unpaved road strewn with stones. You’ll reach this winding road at the traffic circle where theVila Galé Lagos Hotel is located. You’ll see park signs along the way.

Parking
The Parque Aventura Lagos offers free parking for visitors. Although it’s not paved, it’s very spacious.

Useful tips: duration, schedules, eating…
Best time to visit
The park is open all year round, but we’ve found that the period from May to October offers the best weather conditions for enjoying this outdoor activity to the full. Even in winter, the Algarve enjoys plenty of sunshine, but the risk of rain increases slightly during this season. For the best possible experience, we advise you to visit as soon as it opens. This way, you can avoid the mid-day rush, particularly in high season, and enjoy greater freedom on the routes. You can also enjoy a picnic after your tree-climbing session!

Length of visit and main difficulties
Allow a maximum of 3 hours of activity to fully enjoy the Parque Aventura Lagos experience. However, the time needed to complete a course varies considerably depending on your physical condition, age and how busy the park is.
A few important points to note: the activity is not recommended for people weighing more than 110kg, and you must not be afraid of heights! In addition, all participants under 18 years of age must be supervised by an adult, whether on the ground or on the course. Don’t worry if you want to give up en route, the staff will be ready to help you return to the ground gently at any time.

Advice on how to visit
During our visit, we discovered that it’s a good idea to start with the less challenging courses to familiarize ourselves with the equipment and gain confidence. The park offers 3 levels of difficulty: “Curious”, “Adventurer” and “Not even afraid”, each with its own challenges. For families, we recommend starting with the “Curious” level, even for adults, to accompany children and understand how the lifelines work. You can then progress to more advanced levels if you feel comfortable. Don’t hesitate to ask the instructors for advice, as they will be able to guide you towards the course best suited to your abilities and those of your children.

Visiting with children
Parque Aventura Lagos is ideal for a fun-filled family day out. Children aged 4 and over and at least 1m tall are welcome. The courses are perfectly adapted to the abilities of the youngest, while remaining sufficiently stimulating to maintain their interest. You’ll also find tables where you can relax and enjoy a picnic between 2 climbing sessions, or simply watch your children take on their tree climbing challenges.

Schedules and rates
Opening days and times at Parque Aventura Lagos vary almost every month. In July and August, the high season, the park is open daily from 10am to 6pm. For precise timetables during your stay, we strongly advise you to consult the official website here before your visit.
Prices depend on the level of difficulty chosen: €13 per person for “Curious”, €16 for “Adventurer”, and €20 for “Not even scared”.

Guided tour
Although these are not traditional guided tours, qualified instructors welcome you on arrival for an essential safety briefing. They’ll show you how to use the equipment properly and accompany you as you take your first steps on a test course. You’ll also benefit from constant monitoring throughout your activity. They are available to answer any questions you may have, and to provide assistance if required. Don’t hesitate to ask their advice to choose the course best suited to your level.

Catering
In terms of catering, the park offers a simple but practical range. We discovered that sweet and savory snacks, as well as cold drinks, are available at reception for those who are a little hungry. However, what we particularly liked was the possibility of bringing your own picnic. The park has many tables set up in the shade of the pine trees. This means you can easily organize a family meal between 2 tree-climbing sessions, which proves to be an economical and enjoyable option, especially if you’re traveling with children!

Playground for budding adventurers
The Lagos Adventure Park is a real outdoor playground that lets you enjoy the sunny climate of the Algarve. We enjoyed this activity, which takes place in nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The courses awaken a taste for adventure in children young and old! The different levels of difficulty on offer make the experience accessible to all, from the youngest to the most adventurous.

From tree-hugging to technical and sporting tours
From the easy, playful circuit designed for young adventurers to the demanding black course, there’s something for every taste and level! The “Curious” circuit offers a safe and fun first experience for the little ones. As you progress to the more advanced levels, you’ll take on increasingly technical challenges that include spider webs, a Tarzan jump and ziplines that will give you a real adrenaline rush! Test your technical and physical limits on the “Même pas peur” course, which gives access to all the facilities. As an added bonus, from some parts of the course you can see the sea between the tall trees!
