This luxury aparthotel offers a complete change of scenery. In fact, it’s one of the best establishments in Lagos. Here are its 3 main assets, in our opinion:
- A haven of greenery: located high above Meia Praia in the heart of a golf complex, enjoy a magnificent, soothing natural setting. We were totally won over by the view from our balcony at sunrise!
- Gastronomic address: the hotel is home to the famous Restaurant Al Sud (1 star), definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Lagos! Michelin-starred chef Louis Anjos creates a daring culinary score that showcases the seafood and local produce of the Algarve.
- Comfortable accommodation: with charming balconies, the apartments are carefully decorated in a bohemian chic style that invites you to relax.

Is the Aparthotel Palmares Signature worth it? Our review
Totally! We particularly liked the decor of the apartments, which elegantly blend soft colors and natural materials. The adjoining golf course offers a spectacular setting and a unique playing experience, full of contemplation and tranquillity. When it comes to gastronomy, Restaurant Al Sud promises a true culinary voyage. The hotel’s serene yet luxurious atmosphere is a delight.
Decoration and atmosphere
Isolated from the center of Lagos, the aparthotel charms with its serene, relaxing atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of a verdant estate, between manicured fairways and the ocean horizon, the establishment boasts a unique setting. The décor, with its clean lines and noble materials, blends perfectly with the surrounding natural environment. From the terraces, views of the golf course, the dunes and the Atlantic Ocean provide a real sense of escape. An elegant place, bathed in light, where everything seems designed to slow down the pace.

The apartment
Our apartment had an elegant bohemian-chic decor, which we really liked. The furniture seemed to have been carefully chosen: pretty wooden chairs, a round coffee table, simple but refined details that gave character to the whole. A welcoming, soothing atmosphere. Our room was relatively large and had a very comfortable bed.
The fully equipped kitchen was a real plus. We discovered Smeg appliances, an oven, a dishwasher, a coffee machine with pods, a kettle, tea bags and everything else you need to cook like at home. A few nice touches awaited us on arrival: mignardises, a bottle of water and a fruit basket. So you can feel immediately welcome!
The real centerpiece of the apartment was undoubtedly the balcony. From our small ground-floor terrace, the view opened out onto the impeccable curves of the golf course, with the ocean in the distance on the horizon. A peaceful, inspiring setting, perfect for savoring a coffee at sunrise or simply enjoying the silence.

The bathroom
The bathroom, spacious and well-lit, extended the elegance of the bedroom with its beautiful tiled floor and meticulous finishes. The shower, open to the room and delimited by a transparent pane of glass, added a highly successful contemporary touch. We appreciated the comfort and functionality of the whole.
The breakfast
Breakfast comes in the form of a packed lunch delivered directly to your apartment door. This practical formula allows you to enjoy your breakfast in peace and quiet in your accommodation or on your balcony. We appreciated the selection of products on offer, both sweet (croissants, fresh bread, jams) and savoury (cheeses, ham), as well as the presence of local specialties such as the famous Pastel de Nata. The concept is original and well thought-out, but a lack of punctuality in delivery delayed the start of our day.

The outdoor swimming pool
Set in the heart of the estate, the aparthotel’s swimming pool invites you to relax in a natural, soothing setting. Surrounded by greenery and a few deckchairs, it offers an intimate atmosphere, ideal for recharging your batteries after a day’s exploring. Where is the hotel?
The establishment is located in Campo de Golfe de Palmares, east of Lagos city center.
- 5min drive from Meia Praia,
- A 15-minute drive from downtown Lagos,
- 25min drive from Portimão,
- 1 hour’s drive from Faro.
How to get there?
The hotel complex is located just a few minutes’ drive from the center of Lagos, in an unspoilt setting between the golf course and the ocean. Access is easy by car, but it’s best to take the N125 rather than the Estrada da Albardeira, some stretches of which are unpaved. As you approach the estate, the road becomes narrower and crosses the countryside: it’s best to drive slowly. Once there, head to the clubhouse for check-in. A member of staff will then pick you up in a golf cart and take you to your apartment, as the estate is so vast.
