Is Hotel 3HB Faro worth it? Our review
After our stay at the 3HB, we can say without hesitation that this 5-star hotel is a very good choice for spending a few days in Faro. We liked its central location, elegant design and spacious, bright, comfortable rooms. The panoramic terrace with its infinity pool offers an unforgettable experience, while breakfast will delight your taste buds. The attentive, professional service perfectly complements the luxurious experience. In our opinion, this is one of the best hotels in Faro and one of the best luxury hotels in the Algarve.

Decoration and atmosphere
At Hotel 3HB Faro, the urban chic decor harmoniously blends classic and contemporary. We learned that the architecture, designed by Miguel Abreu, was inspired by the regional culture of the Algarve, and loved the elegant, soothing atmosphere of the interior, signed by renowned designer Paulo Lobo.

We liked the hotel’s rooms: they are tastefully furnished in a clean, contemporary style, using natural, woody tones enhanced by bright touches. The furniture is comfortable and functional, and we noticed that every detail, from the materials to the lighting, has not been left to chance. You’ll be able to unwind in your own room, where you can relax and unwind.

This meticulous aesthetic approach can be found in every area of the hotel, from the lobby and restaurants to the spa and rooftop, offering a coherent, refined visual experience. Hotel 3HB Faro with its warm atmosphere and attentive service is ideal if you’re looking for tranquillity, comfort and well-being.

The room
Our room was cosy, bright and pleasant, with a neutral decor that invited relaxation. We particularly liked the wood used in the furniture, and the sober, soothing colors.

We found a kettle, coffee maker, TV, fridge, wardrobe, safe and telephone. You’ll notice that the materials have not been left to chance either: the velvet sofa, armchair and rug invite you to settle down with a book and a cup of tea.

Last but not least, we really liked the luminous details that added a touch of charm to the whole. Our balcony was a plus for bringing light into the room and seeing Faro’s rooftops. However, the view was not transcendent and there was a lot of noise from the blowers, which made opening the window unpleasant. We therefore recommend that you contact the establishment to ensure a quiet and pleasant terrace during your stay.

The bathroom
We loved the bathroom! Spacious and bright, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We liked the pink/copper-colored faucets, as well as the glass walls isolating the shower and toilet from the rest of the room.

The hotel provides Molton Brown cosmetics, a bathrobe and slippers.

If you’re traveling as a couple, it’s possible for 2 people to take a shower at the same time, using both the shower head and the rain shower, which was very practical for a romantic shower.

The breakfast
We enjoyed our breakfast at the 3HB Faro hotel! It features a hearty buffet with a wide variety of local products, such as the famous pasteis de nata, and a wide selection of sweet products including fruit juices, dried and fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, jams, honeys, jams and spreads, pastries and cakes.

If you’re into healthy breakfasts, you could opt for chia pudding, for example. On the savoury side, we enjoyed our pick of the bunch: spinach, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms, sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, cheeses and cold meats and crudités.

The hotel also offers a wide variety of gluten-free products and plant-based milks to satisfy every dietary need or choice. In addition to the buffet, you can order specific dishes listed on the menu.
Breakfast is served in a spacious, bright room, where it’s pleasant to start the day.

The rooftop and swimming pool
We were won over by the 3HB Faro hotel’s spectacular panoramic terrace! In our opinion, this is one of its major assets. Located on the roof of the establishment, it offers a breathtaking view of Faro and the magnificent Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.

Its exposure will allow you to enjoy the Portuguese sunshine thanks to its outdoor furniture, which we found comfortable and of high quality. We enjoyed relaxing here while taking in the scenery, but the highlight of the area is undoubtedly the infinity pool! You’ll enjoy a unique swimming experience with panoramic views of the horizon.

To complete the luxurious ambience, the terrace also features an outdoor fireplace, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere for cooler evenings. Perfect if you’re visiting Faro in winter, for example. It’s the ideal place to enjoy a sunset cocktail or simply bask in the sun while admiring the exceptional panorama of the Algarve.

The spa
If you need a moment to relax and unwind, you can take advantage of the hotel’s spa, equipped with a sauna, Turkish bath, sensory shower with 4 different types of experience and, of course, a heated pool with relaxing water-jet massages.

The relaxation area with deckchairs by the pool is as elegant and welcoming as the rest of the hotel. The zen atmosphere is ideal for recharging your batteries after a day exploring Faro. You can also enjoy a range of treatments and massages.

It’s worth noting that the spa is smaller in size, making it more intimate. However, on rainy days the crowds can be even greater. We therefore recommend that you come early. The spa is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The Sports Hall
Are you a sporty person who doesn’t want to lose the rhythm of your trip? Good news! The hotel features a 24-hour gym equipped with quality TECHNOGYM brand equipment, including 9 training machines and other accessories.

Here’s an exhaustive list of equipment: 1 rowing machine, 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 classic bike, 1 multifunctional bench, 1 adjustable workout bench, 1 adjustable double pulley, dumbbells (1 to 14 kg), kettlebells (8 kg and 12 kg), fitness mats, backrests and balls.

The restoration
Hotel 3HB Faro offers 3 dining areas and room service. We enjoyed the varied gastronomic offer. In addition to the above-mentioned breakfast, you’ll be able to treat yourself throughout the day:
- Restaurant Hábito offers dishes inspired by Algarvian gastronomy, such as “Bulhão Pato” style cockles, Portuguese-style pork shoulder and creamy Carolino rice with coriander. The room offers a panoramic view of the city.

- The Restaurant Forno Nero will delight you with dishes inspired by Italian cuisine, but with a touch of the Algarve. The emphasis is on traditional Italian ingredients such as mozzarella fior di latte, San Daniele ham and gnocchi, combined with typical Algarve products like dried figs and muxama de tuna.
- The H. Bar, located on the roof, offers drinks, cocktails and snacks throughout the day.
