Type of beach
Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is made up of fine blond sand. We loved the soft texture of this sand, inviting you to relax and go barefoot. Its quality also makes it ideal for building excellent sandcastles, to the delight of children. We noted the presence of Posidonia meadows in places.

Swimming conditions and supervision
Swimming conditions at Praia do Porto de Mós are excellent. The gentle, gradual slope into the water is perfect for swimmers of all levels. Lifeguards are on hand in high season to ensure bathers’ safety. This surveillance enhances the feeling of security, especially for families with children. However, make sure they don’t get too close to the cliffs, as there is a risk of falling rocks.
It’s an ideal beach for learning to surf, with its unobstructed views and exceptional length. – book your surf lesson here!
