Is the Lagos Atlantic Hotel worth it? Our review
In our opinion, this hotel is an excellent accommodation option during a stay in Lagos. Its proximity to the superb Praia do Porto de Mós is a major advantage that particularly appealed to us. This is one of Lagos’ finest establishments, offering excellent service, comfortable, well-equipped rooms and top-quality facilities.

Decoration and atmosphere
The atmosphere in the hotel is resolutely relaxed. It invites you to relax and unwind. The decor blends contemporary and traditional elements. The gray marble floor contrasts with the colorful photographs of the Algarve. Paintings by local artists stand out next to the modern pool table. The vintage sewing machine is a nice nod to local craftsmanship, while the reception area is very elegant. We had a lot of fun with this motley assortment of settings!

The room
The decoration of our room was inspired by the beach, creating a soothing yet cosy atmosphere. Light tones dominated the space, enhanced by carefully chosen details: an elegant beige quilted headboard, a floor with marble highlights, and decorative elements evoking the marine world. The wall featured a stunning wallpaper depicting a starfish lying on the sand, while a photograph of the Algarve’s majestic cliffs added a note of escapism. The separation to the bathroom was marked by an artistic image of moving water, extending the seaside ambience.

In our accommodation, we found facilities such as a coffee machine with pods, a bottle of water, a kettle with tea bags, 2 squares of chocolate and a safe. The lightly tinted bay window let soft light into our bedroom, enhancing the room’s soothing hues. From our balcony, we could see the ocean on the horizon.

The bathroom
In our bedroom, the bathroom included a shower. As we entered, we noticed that the walls and floor were covered in marble, lending a touch of luxury to the space. The shower was large and open to the room. The wall-hung washbasin was elegant and practical. In addition, we found hygiene products from the Luxury by Lousani cosmetics brand, offering a pleasant skincare experience.

The breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel takes the form of an extensive buffet, featuring a variety of sweet and savory foods: cold cuts, cheeses, salads, breads, cakes, pastries, cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit. You’ll also find local products such as the famous Pastéis de Nata, as well as woven pastries covered in typical Portuguese walnuts.

For our part, we tried the homemade yoghurt, topped with raspberry jam and delicious granola. Ready-made meals are also available, including fresh eggs prepared on the spot. The room in which breakfast is served is decorated with great care, blending tradition with contemporary style. However, we recommend that you enjoy your breakfast on the outdoor terrace overlooking the pool, just like we do!

Swimming pool and beach access
The hotel boasts a rectangular outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by a host of sun loungers and parasols. It is protected from the wind by palisades. It was not heated during our low-season stay.

Getting to the charming Praia de Porto Mós couldn’t be easier! A downhill path links the hotel to the beach. Cross the lane to Beco das Magnólias road. You then come to a dead end revealing a staircase. Simply follow this path to reach the sandy area.

Equipment and common areas
There’s also a gym overlooking the pool, offering you the chance to exercise while enjoying the view. It also has massage rooms where you can relax and unwind during your stay.

The common area features a small office area equipped with a computer, works of art by local artists, and above all a pool table. How would you like to get into the swing of things? The loser dives into the pool!

The restoration
The hotel has a Pool Bar where you can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink. There is no restaurant on site.
