- Ideal location: leaving the hotel and finding yourself with your feet in the warm sand of Praia da Rocha in less than two minutes, while having the beachfront restaurants and cafés within easy reach, is a real luxury.
- High-quality facilities: outdoor pool, gym, restaurant and bar complete the experience of alternating relaxation and activities, while enjoying attentive service.

Is Hotel da Rocha worth it? Our review
For us, Hotel da Rocha is well worth a visit. Its beachfront location, fully-equipped apartments and overall comfort make itone of Portimão’s finest hotels. Being able to cook for yourself or simply take advantage of the on-site facilities makes for a pleasant and flexible stay, whether you’re traveling as a couple, with family or friends. Proximity to local attractions adds to the value of the experience.
Decoration and atmosphere
Hotel da Rocha exudes a warm, modern ambience. The decor features a palette of neutral tones in various grays, punctuated by touches of burgundy red for elegance and character. Climbing plants and shrubs carefully arranged in the common areas add life and freshness, while comfortable furniture invites you to sit back and relax. Together, these features give the hotel a cosy, contemporary atmosphere, ideal for making the most of your stay.
The room
Our room perfectly reflected the hotel’s relaxed, modern style. We liked the size of the room, spacious and airy. Other features include a huge bed, simple, elegant furnishings, and a sitting area with a comfortable sofa. The kitchenette allows you to prepare small meals, which is very practical. Amenities such as a safe, bottled water, kettle and mini-bar add a real plus to the comfort of your stay. From our balcony, we enjoyed a pleasant view of Praia da Rocha and its lively atmosphere, offering a nice mix of calm and local life.

The bathroom
The bathroom combines functionality and comfort, with a bathtub that converts into a shower. Castelbel hygiene products came in very handy during our stay. The toilets were in the same room.
The breakfast
Breakfast at Hotel da Rocha is a real treat. The varied buffet features local specialties such as Pastel de Nata, orange cakes, fried eggs and homemade pancakes. Sweet or savoury, there’s something for everyone. You can enjoy breakfast in front of the pool, under the first rays of sunshine, to get your day off to a good start. Gluten-free options are also available.
Swimming pool and beach
The hotel’s outdoor swimming pool is a refreshing haven after a long day’s strolling or exploring Portimão. It’s surrounded by a terrace with deckchairs and parasols, perfect for relaxing in the sun, and Balinese beds for a more intimate moment of relaxation.
Just a 2-minute walk will take you to the famous Praia da Rocha, where you can easily alternate between a dip in the pool and a stroll on the golden sands against the waves of the Algarve.
Equipment and common areas
For those who want to keep active, the hotel offers a well-equipped gym, ideal for maintaining your fitness routine even on vacation. After the effort, you can relax with our massage service, which transforms every moment into a true moment of well-being. Between exercise, relaxation and short breaks in comfortable common areas, the hotel offers a setting conducive to both dynamism and serenity.
The restoration
For further relaxation, the hotel offers a cosy bar where you can enjoy a cocktail or a glass of local wine. The in-house restaurant offers on-site dining, allowing you to combine comfort and local flavors without leaving the hotel.

The property is located on Avenida Tomás Cabreira in Portimão (Algarve). Here are a few pointers to help you get your bearings:

How to get there?
From Faro Airport, the establishment is easily reached by car by taking the A22 main road westwards, then exiting at the N124. We recommend you use a car to reach this hotel and better visit the Algarve, which includes many must-see sites and beaches that are quite far away.
Parking
The hotel has a private underground parking lot, for which a charge is made, as it is located in a pedestrian zone. Otherwise, parking spaces are available in the streets around the establishment. We easily found a place on a nearby street during our stay.
For people with reduced mobility
The hotel is equipped for disabled guests. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available in common areas, and elevators provide easy access to all floors.
