Located in the heart of Albufeira, Praia dos Pescadores is one of the city’s most emblematic beaches. Bordered by the golden cliffs characteristic of the Algarve, it is directly accessible from the old town. Golden sand, ocean as far as the eye can see, entertainment and restaurants 2 steps away: if you’re looking for a lively, convenient beach in Albufeira, this is a great option!
Here are some useful tips for planning your visit to the Praia dos Pescadores in Albufeira.

This opinion is completely independent, based on our experiences. We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.
Is the Praia dos Pescadores worth it?
Yes, without hesitation, especially if you’re staying in the center of Albufeira! The Praia dos Pescadores offers a pleasant and practical setting: fine sand, Claire water, lifeguard posts, showers, toilets and easy access from the old town. It’s a lively beach, ideal for a break between 2 visits to Albufeira’s attractions or for spending a whole day with your feet in the sand.
We enjoyed its lively yet peaceful atmosphere. Beachside bars and restaurants offer food and drink with a view. On the other hand, if you prefer wilder, quieter spots, it may not be your first choice, so we recommend you choose one of the Algarve’s most beautiful beaches. Indeed, Praia dos Pescadores remains a very busy urban beach, especially in high season.

Beach type: sandy, supervised…
Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is made of Claire-colored fine sand. We loved dipping our toes in despite the gloomy weather on the day of our visit.

Swimming conditions and supervision
Signs indicate that the beach is supervised in season, and we saw lifeguards there.

Installations
We found showers and toilets right on the beach.

Reduced mobility access
The beach is accessible to people with reduced mobility. We saw an access ramp and a wooden path on the sand to facilitate movement, as well as a special wheelchair for the disabled.

They feature reserved parking spaces, adapted pedestrian access, walkways over the sand and accessible toilets. Find out more here.

Naturism
It is not possible to practice naturism on this beach.
