Close to the center of Albufeira, Praia dos Alemães (sometimes called Praia de Albufeira) is a golden sandy beach with a slightly quieter setting than the beaches in the center of Albufeira. Bordered by ochre cliffs and punctuated by a few discreet restaurants and bars, it attracts families as well as travelers wishing to enjoy a swim without straying too far from the city. Easy to access, with practical facilities, it combines nature and urban comfort.
Here are some useful tips for planning your visit to Alemaes Beach in Albufeira.

This opinion is completely independent, based on our experiences. We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.
Is the Praia dos Alemães worth it?
Yes, especially if you’re looking for a central beach in Albufeira, but a little quieter than those in the heart of the old town. Praia dos Alemães (sometimes called Praia de Albufeira) seduced us with its wide expanse of sand, its family atmosphere and its scenery.
We also appreciated its relaxed atmosphere, without being totally isolated. The beach has deckchairs, parasols, showers and a restaurant. It’s easily accessible from the center, on foot or by car, with parking spaces nearby. Ideal after a day visiting Albufeira’s main attractions.
Its main asset? A good balance between accessibility, relative calm and pleasant natural surroundings, without having to leave Albufeira. If you prefer to avoid crowded beaches while staying close to the hustle and bustle, this is a smart choice. It’s also one of Albufeira’s most beautiful beaches.

Beach type: sandy, supervised…
Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is made of fine ochre-colored sand. We loved dipping our toes into it!

Swimming conditions and supervision
The access slope to the water is gentle. Signs indicate that the beach is supervised in season, and we saw lifeguards there.

Installations
We found showers and toilets right on the beach.

Naturism
It is not possible to practice naturism on this beach.
