Is Praia da Adraga beach worth it?
Yes, it’s a beautiful beach and well worth a visit! Nestled in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, just north of Cabo da Roca, its wild charm will win you over. We took advantage of its large expanse of golden sand and admired the arch at its southern end. The northern cliff of erosion-sculpted black rock adds a picturesque touch. A photographer’s delight!
In our opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in the Sintra-Cascais region. It’s very popular in summer, so we advise you to avoid going there at weekends or arriving early.

Sand or no sand?
The beach floor is made of fine golden sand.
We loved dipping our toes in and lying back to soak up the sun!

Swimming conditions and supervision
The sea has all the vigor of the Atlantic Ocean. The swim is invigorating! But watch out for the strong waves. It’s sure to please surfers and photo enthusiasts alike! As the sun sets, the foam on the black rocks takes on the red of evening. The perfect moment to capture on camera.
The beach is unsupervised.
