We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get to Albufeira: quick answer<\/h2>\n\n<p>There are several options for getting to Albufeira:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>By plane<\/strong>:<strong>Faro Airport<\/strong>, around 35 minutes away, is the ideal gateway to numerous international connections. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.directferries.co.uk\/corsica.htm?dfpid=1915&amp;affid=21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">&#8211; see available flights.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By train<\/strong>: the nearest station is<strong> Albufeira &#8211; Ferreiras<\/strong>, about 6 km from the city center. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp.pt\/passageiros\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CP<\/a> rail network serves Albufeira Station, with regular connections from Lagos, Faro, Silves, Portim\u00e3o and Loul\u00e9 among other destinations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By car<\/strong>: the<strong>A22 freeway<\/strong> serves Albufeira. Just take exit 9 to reach the center via the N125. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faroairporttransfers.me\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Cabs<\/a> are also available for transfers We recommend the <strong>Parking garage at 31<\/strong>, <strong>Aveninda 25 de Abril <\/strong>or the <strong>Marina underground parking lot<\/strong> as safe solutions close to tourist attractions. Alternatively, there&#8217;s <strong>free open-air parking<\/strong> along Rue <em>Maria Teresa Semedo de Azevedo<\/em> and a few spaces in the city streets.<\/p>\n\n<p>Having a car is still very practical for access to outlying beaches such as Praia da Coelha or Praia da Gal\u00e9, or for exploring the surrounding villages such as Paderne or Guia.
