We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get to Portim\u00e3o: quick answer<\/h2>\n\n<p>There are several options for getting to Portim\u00e3o:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>By plane<\/strong>: Faro Airport, around 50 minutes away, is the ideal gateway to numerous international connections. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.directferries.co.uk\/corsica.htm?dfpid=1915&amp;affid=21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">&#8211; see available flights.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By train<\/strong>: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp.pt\/passageiros\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CP<\/a> rail network serves Portim\u00e3o Station, with regular connections from Lagos, Faro, Silves, Albufeira and Loul\u00e9 among other destinations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By car<\/strong>: the A22 freeway passes through Portim\u00e3o. Just take exit 5 to reach the center via the N124. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faroairporttransfers.me\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Cabs<\/a> are also available for transfers
