New Year’s Eve in Faro
Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Faro is a memorable event that combines tradition and festivity. The evening often begins with a festive dinner in one of the many seaside restaurants. At midnight, it’s customary to taste 12 raisins to the rhythm of the 12 strokes of midnight to attract good luck and prosperity for the coming year. The main square becomes the focal point of the celebrations, where residents gather to celebrate together. After midnight, the party continues in the lively bars and clubs of the city center. The next day, we recommend a hot chocolate with Pastéis de Nata to get the New Year off to a good start.
